Discover the basics of two-handed fly fishing in the scenic Åby River. This hands-on introduction includes guided instruction, river casting practice, and a relaxing light meal by the water.
This 4-hour introductory session is designed for anyone curious about two-handed fly fishing. Set along the Åby River in Västerbotten, the experience begins on dry land, where you'll receive a beginner-friendly overview of the techniques and equipment involved in this traditional style of fishing.
Once the basics are covered, you'll step into the flowing waters of the river to practice casting with a two-handed rod under the guidance of your instructor. No prior experience is necessary, and all fishing gear is provided.
The session ends with a light meal enjoyed beside the river. Afterward, you are welcome to continue fishing on your own using the included day permit, or choose to book additional guiding services if you'd like more assistance on the water.
No previous fishing experience is required. Participants should wear weather-appropriate outdoor clothing and bring their own wading boots if available.
