About halfway through the hike, we arrive at Grötvik, where a delicious lunch awaits at the Livbojen restaurant. After this enjoyable break, the hike continues as the coastal landscape takes on a character of stone, rocky outcrops, and cliffs. At Tylösand, sand dunes and beach grass take over as one of Sweden’s most famous swimming beaches stretches out before us. Jungle-like surroundings greet us as we leave the sea behind for the final stretch and wander along Nyrebäcken toward Möllegård. At the end of the trail, you can cool off with some delicious Italian ice cream if you’d like. A bus awaits in the parking lot to take you comfortably back to Halmstad Castle, where we began our hike.
Wear comfortable shoes, such as hiking boots or sneakers. Bring water to drink, a piece of fruit if you’d like, and a seat pad.
